Course Overview
This course gives .NET and C# developers a complete, practical education in working with AI — not as a user of consumer chat tools, but as a builder and integrator. Students will learn how AI fundamentally changes every stage of the software development lifecycle: from the first architectural sketch through production maintenance. The curriculum is organized around two complementary tracks that converge throughout the course: the Claude Code track — using the AI coding agent directly in the terminal and IDE to accelerate real development work — and the Anthropic API track — writing C# code that calls Claude to build AI-native .NET applications. By the end of the course, students will be able to use Claude Code as a daily driver across every phase of a project and will have the skills to embed AI capabilities directly into their own .NET applications and services.

- Solid understanding of C# and the .NET runtime (object-oriented design, async/await, dependency injection). Familiarity with ASP.NET Core and REST API concepts. Basic comfort with the command line and Git. A Claude Pro or Max subscription (or Anthropic Console API access).

A two-part capstone spanning Modules 16–17 where students build SupportIQ — an AI-powered support assistant for a fictional cloud storage SaaS. The system answers customer questions from a knowledge base using RAG, escalates complex issues to human agents, maintains conversation history, and provides admin analytics. Covers architecture through deployment with full test coverage, CI/CD, and Azure Container Apps deployment.
